Dr Milne joined Elonics as Chairman in September 2008. Prior to this, as co-founder of Wolfson Microelectronics he took the company from a university spinout to the FTSE 250. The Elonics Chairmanship is the first new board position that he has accepted since stepping down as CEO to a non-executive role within Wolfson Microelectronics in 2007. He has been awarded an OBE for services to industry.
David has 20 years' extensive multi-national experience in the consumer electronics industry. Prior to founding Elonics, David held senior positions with a number of semiconductor companies in the UK including Intel, Level One Communications and Wolfson Microelectronics. Educated with a B.Eng from Bristol University UK in 1988 and an MBA from the University of Southampton Management School in 1996.
John Carey is a key contributor to some of the World's leading semiconductor companies. He co-founded Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and went on to invest in Integrated Devices Technology (IDT) where he built up the company serving as CEO, COO and Chairman. Investing in Wolfson Microelectronics in 1998, John joined the Board and was Chairman 2000-2008. John invested in Elonics in 2008 and joined the Board in 2009.
Stuart Paterson is a partner in SEP and focuses on investments in internet, communications and semiconductor technology. Over the last fourteen years of venture capital investing, he has led investments in many start ups played a lead role in working with outstanding entrepreneurs to build world class companies. In addition he has backed a number of later stage companies looking to strengthen their capital base and bring on board experienced investors ahead of IPO or M&A activity. The fabless semiconductor companies that he has backed over the past decade include some of the most successful chip businesses in Europe including CSR plc, PicoChip Inc. and Gigle Networks Inc.
