The Elonics family of silicon tuner products is targeted at high performance terrestrial and cable TV broadcast applications such as television, set top box and tuner modules. Our silicon tuner DigitalTune™ concept allows Elonics designers to create solutions without performance compromise yet with the benefits of low power consumption and cost.

The business was founded with the objective of providing excellence in all aspects of RF and mixed-signal product design. Achievements include the world’s first 10.6GHz ultra wideband (UWB) transceiver in 90nm CMOS, advanced software defined radio receivers and many others.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company began as an advanced silicon design house and in 2008 re-focused its capability on bringing to market its own silicon tuner products to compete with traditional tuner cans in the broadcast TV market.

The focus today is on the high growth silicon tuner market, and as experts in broadcast television and radio systems the company is well positioned to create products that address many of today’s problems in the next generation of high performance terrestrial and cable TV applications including connected television and multimedia set top boxes.  The Company’s  technology can also be applied to the emerging White Space market.

The company has raised venture capital funding, utilised to design first and second generation RF tuners and a strong roadmap of products targeting the broadcast TV and radio business.  This has entailed the development of world-class RF tuner technology for VHF and UHF band radios using a combination of unique patented intellectual property and traditional specialist RF design techniques.  Elonics intellectual property comprises advanced RF and mixed-signal circuits with core functions covered by patents.
